Joseph Simmons was a British aero inventor, of possible relation to the likewise British F. Simmons, conceivably related to the American Oliver G. Simmons, each of whom registered patents in the early Twentieth Century. Joseph Simmons himself registered singly, in collaboration with the French Ménier, in 1874, and with Joseph Matthew Morris, in 1875.
