Harold M. Chase was an engineer and aero inventor in Wilmington, NC. He was a manager of the American Chemical and Textile Coloring Company and a U.S. Naval Reserve commander.
With Minor F. H. Gouverneur, Chase built a series of aircraft in 1910-1911 beginning with a quadriplane called the Gouverneur I.[1]
