Firmin Bousson was an aero inventor in Paris. His signature invention was the "auto-aviateur", an flying-machine/airplane, with some flapping capability, equipped with four wheels and petroleum engine, and suspended below a cylindrical balloon. The machine was tested at Avron plateau (near Paris; see w:fr:Plateau d'Avron) in October 1900, without greatly positive results.[1]
