Cosimo Canovetti was an aero inventor and engineer working especially on theory of air resistance. He filed patents from 3 rue Rovani, Milan, Italy.[1]

Their is a strong overlap overlap, in terms of research, and in terms of propellers, between this inventor and Louis-Marie Le Dantec‎‎. Incidentally French patent agent G. Petiau was involved in the work of both inventors.
