Chanute promotes the Wright Brothers as the leaders in aviation. Recounting European progress, he says that Santos-Dumont, the leading European flyer, "is now hardly as far advanced as the Wright Brothers were at the close of 1903".
Includes a picture of Wright Brothers with Bishop, Hawley, and McCoy.
Why are the bros. not flying currently? To protect their secrets; but they are prepared to give demonstrations on agreeable terms.
