Starts with a history of heavier-than-air flight, with inventors such as Moy and Shill, then moving into the modern period with Maxim, Lilienthal, Ader, the Wrights, Ferber, Santos-Dumont, and others. On p. 59 switches to a technical discussion of flight and aerodynamics. Special emphasis is placed on Eiffel's findings regarding the aerodynamics of a plane.
Includes picture, schematics, and explanation of Brunet's own biplane (pp. 206–210).
