Blaise Bontems (born 15 March 1814 Le Ménil, deceased - 1893) was an aero inventor, involved in "automatons", artificial birds, known for SOUND. Address upon application of French patent: Paris (72, rue de Cléry, Seine)
(There is a slight chance of confusion regarding SINGING birds, and the French patent, though, within our multinational database, it is via the non-French patents, strictly aeronautic, that we have gathered the given name "Blaise". He was a mechanic and-or a mechanical engineer. It could be that the objects of Victorian entertainment proved to be more financially rewarding.)
