Bertrand was an aero inventor, innovating with gas, among other things, with pertinence beyond, and including, aeronautic, Bayonne (6, rue Marengo, Basses-Pyrénées).
We are presently uncertain as to any possible relations existing between this inventor and the later-active René Bertrand or the also later-active Édouard Bertrand.
