This category included aerostatics, and some motors and steam propulsion. We don't know its overall boundaries. Steam propulsion has some affiliation to BE 9 also.

We found "11", or more properly "11e" firstly by way of Patent BE-1831-1533, which is specifically aeronautical, giving us this classification, or "nature" of "its object", along with its archival source, Archives numérisées of Accès aux brevets belge - Toegangen op de Belgische brevetten, section "AC 502 - AC 2643, 29 november 1830 - 31 december 1843." Patent BE-1835-Madinier is not specifically aeronautical. It does have to do with motors. We are dealing with very rough antique material here. The Belgians have exquisistely scanned the furthest antique and most fragile analogue archival material, but have not made it text-searchable. It may be that our modest inroads are shedding some of the first light on these pages.

We think this category started around 1830 when the Belgian borders were established and the first governmental publications about patents are observed. This category may have disappeared around 1855, based on the contents of publications discussed at Belgian patent classifications.

This wiki has 1 patents in category "BE 11".
