Albert Octave Étévé was a French military officer and engineer involved in ballooning and then aviation.
He was part of a mission to Morocco in 1907. He also went to Algeria and at some point rescued some passengers from a capsized boat. After returning to France he received his balloon pilot's license and soon after his aviator's license.[1]
He created an instrument to measure speed which became known as the indicateur Étévé (or 'Indicateur de vitesse Étévé or Anémomètre Étévé, etc.).[1] [What is relationship to Patent FR-1912-447535?]
