Aircraft

From Inventing aviation
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Aircraft was a journal published 1910–1914 by Alfred William Lawson (Lawson Publishing Company). (Its run might in fact have been longer—we have a reference in Brockett to Vol. 6 in 1915[1]—but we don't have scans.)

  • Scans at HathiTrust.
  • Vols. 1, 2, 3, 4 5 at Internet Archive

Lawson began aircraft not long after founding Fly Magazine, in which he sold his share. Supposedly he wanted to capitalize on the term "aircraft", which he claimed to have invented, and did at least popularize.[2]
