Aero Club of the West

The Aero Club de l'Ouest or Aero Club of the West was founded at Angers, France, on 1 May 1907. It was accepted as an affiliate of the Aero Club of France in January 1909.

Some 80 members plus half-again as many honorary members, 1910. That year, René Gasnier was honorary president and officers included Maurice de Farcy, president; M. Giffard, and L. Cointreau, vice presidents; J. Bessonneau, general secretary; and P. Laurenceau, treasurer.
