The Zurich Section of the Aero Club of Switzerland, also known as the Ostschweizerischer Verein fur Luftschiffahrt (OVL) or perhaps "Ostschweizerischen Vereins für Luftschiffahrt" or Eastern Switzerland Association for Aerial Navigation, was founded on 1 May 1910 in Zurich and and served German-speaking East Switzerland. It was the first independent section of the AeCS. It celebrated 75 years of existence in 1985 and in celebration of 90 years, held a three-day festival of flight, 16-18 June 2000, in the suburb of Dubendorf. It celebrated its centennial in 2010 and still exists as the OVL.

The Ostschweizerischer Verein fur Luftschiffahrt (OVL) was the first independent section of the Aero-Club der Schweiz. Under authorship showing as both the Aero-Club der Schweiz, Sektion Zurich, and the Ostschweizerischer Verein fur Luftschiffahrt, it published its statutes and rules of procedure in 1910 and a membership directory in September 1913.

Need to review why 1909 FAI Conference Statutaire Proces-Verbaux 27 (1910) is cited as this would make founding earlier that 1910.

Affiliated with AeCS on 1 May 1910.
