Élisa Deroche, Élisa Léontine Deroche, also known under the pseudonym baronne Raymonde de Laroche, born 22 August 1882 in Paris (4e arr.), deceased 18 July 1919 in an airplane crash at Crotoy, was an actress and aviatrix, the first to obtain her "brevet de pilote-aviatrice" 8 March 1910, situated in female aero history alongside Thérèse Peltier, Marthe Niel, Hélène Dutrieu and Amelia Earhart.[1]

We have her as the first licensed aviatrix, identified as French, and called "Elise Deroche", receiving her brevet de pilote on 8 March 1910.[2]
